Cheeseburger Tots Recipe

What is better than a cheeseburger? A cheeseburger with tater tots! It's a cheeseburger cup with all the traditional toppings and a special sauce.

Ingredients

Cheeseburger Tots

  • 60 Tater Tots
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 Tablespoons Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons Pickle Relish, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Special Sauce

  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 4 Tablespoons Pickle Relish, optional
  • 2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease a muffin pan. Line the bottom of 12 muffin cups with frozen tater tots. Use 5 mini tater tots or 3 regular tater tots per cup. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. Brown 1lb ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat. Meanwhile, dice an onion and add it to the beef. Continue to cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon each of ketchup, yellow mustard, and sour cream to the beef mixture. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. You may also add 1 tablespoon of relish. Mix well.
  4. After cooking the tater tots for 10 minutes, remove from the oven. Split the beef mixture evenly between the muffin cups, on top of the tater tots. Sprinkle 1 cup if cheese on top of the cups. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  5. Prepare the special sauce while the cups are baking. Mix 1/2 cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of yellow mustard, and 1 teaspoon each of white wine vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. You may also add 4 tablespoons relish if desired.
  6. Remove cheeseburger cups from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before removing from the muffin cups. Top with the special sauce and serve warm.
